The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience. All of our professionals at Kerr & Gavric Dentistry maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.


Dr. Robert A. Kerr earned his D.D.S. degree from Emory University in 1979, and prior to that had attained a B.S. degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary. Shortly after graduating from dental school, he married his wife, Holly. They moved to Montgomery, AL, where Dr. Kerr practiced for three years as part of the Air Force Dental Corp at Maxwell Air Force Base. Dr. Kerr grew up mostly in Tampa, and Holly in Joliet, IL. However, they both were drawn back to Atlanta where they have resided since 1982. Dr. Kerr has practiced in the Buckhead and Cumberland/Galleria areas at a few different locations, and he is very happy to be in his present location because of the spaciousness and high-tech features of the practice. Dr. Kerr's main focus is restorative treatment, including crowns, bridges, composite tooth-colored fillings, and restoration of dental implants. He is constantly cognizant of doing his best to make every visit as comfortable as possible for each patient.
Dr. Kerr and Holly have two grown sons, Andy and Alec. Andy is a graduate of Wesleyan University and is now attending law school at Columbia University after having spent a few years back and forth between Atlanta, New York, and Asia, mostly teaching English as a second language and college admissions prep classes. Alec just graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS in May of 2010. A history major with a Spanish minor, Alec's first love is football. He resides in Jackson and will intern as as assistant to the Millsaps defensive line coach in the Fall. Dr. Kerr and Holly devoted many hours to volunteer work as their sons were growing up. Dr. Kerr coached baseball, soccer and basketball. Holly was active in their schools and church. Now empty-nesters, they spend much of their free time reading, gardening, and practicing yoga.
Dr. Kerr considers himself fortunate to have found Dr. Gavric to join the practice in 2010! Having practiced since 1975, it is a great feeling to have an excellent partner in the practice to share the work load and all the responsibilities! Dr. Kerr enjoys the personal relationships that he has developed over the years with so many of the patients who have entrusted their dental care to him. These relationships are what have made it all worthwhile!

Dr. Grace S. Gavric completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she received her B.S. degree in Biology. She then received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Gavric completed an ADA accredited General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. This residency provided Dr. Gavric with invaluable exposure to every aspect of general dentistry with an emphasis on hospital-based dentistry, oral surgery and implant dentistry. Dr. Gavric has practiced in the Atlanta area since 2005. She provides comprehensive dental care which includes treatment in preventive dentistry, esthetic restorative dentistry, non-surgical periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and implant restorative dentistry. Dr. Gavric understands the importance of providing high quality dental care with a sense of compassion and strives to make each visit comfortable and relaxing.
Dr. Gavric married her husband, Nenad, in September 2008 and they now reside in Buckhead. They welcomed their first child, Adrian, in March 2011 and enjoy every moment spent with him. Adrian has been an amazing gift to their family and has brought so much more love and happiness into their lives. Nenad is from Eastern Europe and the pair enjoy traveling in their spare time. Their vacations have taken them to, not only domestic destinations, but international destinations including France, Greece, Spain, former Yugoslavia and Argentina.

Laura is not only the office manager but a one woman show at the front desk. She does it all! Laura will handle scheduling your appointments, insurance and/or financial questions, and helping to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Laura has been in the medical and dental field for over 13 years. Her sunny disposition and caring nature will greet you on the phone and at the front door.
Laura is a 4th generation Atlantan. She lives in Canton, Georgia with her wonderful husband, Zack, and beautiful daughter, Grace.

Jena is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her Associate Degree in Biology from Gainesville College and went on to attend Floyd College for her Dental Hygiene Degree. Jena graduated from Floyd College in 2000 and has been practicing in the Atlanta area for over 10 years. She joined our practice in March of 2005 and has been a great part of our dental team. Jena has a wonderful sense of humor and a gentle touch. She keeps our patients and the staff laughing on a daily basis.
Jena is a Georgia native and grew up in Cohutta, Georgia, which is just outside of Dalton. There she was active in sports, dancing, church activities and spending time with her neice and nephews. Jena enjoys going to the Fox Theatre to watch Broadway shows. She recently married her husband, Jameson, in 2009. Jameson is from Douglasville and currently works in Villa Rica. Jena and Jameson currently reside in Dallas and welcomed their son, Brooks, in August 2011.

Amanda graduated from Georgia Highlands College in 2006 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist and joined our practice in 2007. She enjoys interacting with her patients and educating them on oral health topics. Amanda thoroughly enjoys working with patients and always knew she wanted to work in the dental field. As a hygienist, she tries to ensure each patient leaves with a bright and healthy smile.
Amanda is a native to Cobb County where she still resides today with her husband, Andrew. As a young adult, she was a dancer and had the opportunity to dance in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two wonderfully crazy dogs and enjoys taking them on walks and to the park.

Melissa has been a member of our practice for three years as a certified dental assistant. Melissa graduated from Medix College in 2007. Her compassionate care makes her a great addition to the Kerr & Gavric dental team. Melissa enjoys the positive interaction with our patients. She helps to keep them informed of their current treatment and does what is necessary to maintain their comfort and relaxation during their appointment. Melissa always wants our patients to have an enjoyable experience while in the office.
Before joining our staff, Melissa worked in the field of pediatric dentistry. She also has experience in accounting and puts her skills to use helping her grandmother on Fridays. Melissa ultimately chose a career in dentistry because she loves to help people.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and family. She is a huge animal lover and loves spending time with her dog, Cloe. She enjoys walking, biking, and playing tennis in her spare time.
Renene is a cross-trained Registered Dental Hygienist with many years of dental experience. She received her Associate Degree in Applied Health from Columbus Technical College in 1999. She was nominated as Student of the Year and graduated salutatorian of her class. She worked as an assistant for Dr. Kerr in the 80's as he established his practice. She also worked for her father, Ralph Price, DDS, until his retirement. Renene has a very gentle, caring touch and deeply loves her patients.
Renene is a native Georgian and resides in Peachtree City with her children Joshua and Alexis. She is engaged to her high school friend, Tyler Dodd, and plans on moving to Cobb County. She enjoys sailing, gardening, cooking, and being with her family and friends.
